Manchester United F.C Fans scapegoat Fellaini.

Fellaini

It is high time Manchester United fans stopped scapegoating
Fellaini and admit that the whole team is responsible for the
draw. I know he shouldn't have made that tackle, knowing the
possible implication of such a challenge. But is he entirely to
blame? Does he deserve all the insults directed towards him? I
think he is just an easy target for insults; the ultimate
scapegoat. I am about the only united fan who don't blame
fellaini for the draw.
1. Fellaini did not bring himself on, Jose brought him on! He
knew the type of player Fellaini is, but still went ahead to
introduce him at the final moments of the game, even when
calm-heads like Mata were on the bench. Sometimes, I do
wonder how fellaini found his way into Old trafford. He never
strike me as a United type of player: he is not quick, can't pass
the ball, his tackles are clumsy, he is all elbows; I think he is
just stealing a living at united...yet for some strange reasons, he
has been a central figure in the plans of the three managers to
have managed him at united. What do they see that we can't
see? I am still wondering...
2. The players looked tired and complacent towards the end of
the game. They simply went to sleep and allowed everton to
attack freely. Believe me, Everton would have scored, whether
Fellaini made that tackle or not. The hand-writing was already
on the wall: we gave them too much space and time. We just
forgot how to close down games.
3. If you watch the replay, there were two players that suppose
to have gotten close to idrissa Gueye but allowed him to get into
the box. Why not slate them? Why only Fellaini?
4. United could have scored more than 1 goal and bury the
game once and for all. But no.. The same old story, like against
stoke, Arsenal and west ham! Score one goal, try to defend, and
end up conceding an equaliser in the final minute of the game!
5. Who will help me tell Mourinho that the best form of defence
is attack? I watched the game Between real madrid and atletico
madrid. Real were cruising 2-0, but instead of bringing in
defensive-minded players, Zidane brought in the likes of James
and Asensio! The game ended 3-0, and don't forget how big a
derby is! Gone are the days when you defend a 1-0 lead with
ease. No matter how weak the opposing team is, they will feel
that at 1-0, they still have a chance. So why not attack them till
the final whistle instead of retreating back and allowing them to
attack?
6. I'm sorry to say this, but Mourinho's tactics are outdated. He
prefers physicality to skills. That is why he keeps United's best
attacking player (Juan Mata) on the bench. That is why he
keeps Mkhitaryan on the bench. He prefers brawns to brains.
Fellaini, for instance, is all brawns but no brains. Whenever he
goes in to make a tackle, I close my eyes in anticipation of a
clumsy challenge. That is the sad line that has punctuated
manchester United's story for the season, so far.
Manchester United has the team that can win the title. But poor
team selection, outdated tactics and erratic substitutions have
made them look so mediocre. Things need to change (and fast).
Unfortunately, time is running out for you, Mr. Jose. You know
the minimum requirement for any United manager: top 4. You
have a huge challenge to try and save your job (and career).
Goodluck!
